Room Furniture
All of our residence hall rooms come furnished. All furniture must remain in student rooms.
All rooms are fully furnished with:
- Bed – 1 per resident
- Bunk bed informational video (Flash)
- Bunk bed "how-to" flyer (PDF)
- Bunk bed height adjust flyer (PDF)
- Mattress, extra-long mattress – 1 per resident
- Mattresses are 80" long x 36" wide x 7" thick in all halls except Springs Residential Complex
- Mattresses are 80" long x 39" wide x 7" thick in Springs Residential Complex
- Dresser – 1 per resident
- Study Desk – 1 per resident
- Desk Chair – 1 per resident
- Trash can – 1 per room
- Curtains or blinds – 1 per room
All apartments (shared bedroom and individual bedroom) are furnished with:
- Everything noted above
- Refrigerator, full-size – 1 per apartment
- Shower curtain – 1 per bathroom
Refrigerators for students not living in apartment-style rooms:
Residents, except those living in apartment-style rooms, may provide their own refrigerator or share one with their roommate. Refrigerators cannot be larger than 12 cubic feet or exceed 3.5 amps. These are available for purchase at most big box stores for about the same cost as renting. If resident rents a refrigerator, the resident is responsible for coordinating delivery and pickup. The University of Florida does not have a relationship with or endorse any refrigerator rental company.
