Resident Assistant/Residential College Advisor

The Resident Assistant is an integral position within the Department of Housing and Residence Education.  The primary responsibilities of the RA are to:

  • Build a residential Community through personal contact, enhanced visibility and ongoing community related events,
  • Assess community needs and interests and provide a variety of academic, social and developmental programs,
  • Serve as an academic, social and organizational resource and role model
  • Provide exceptional customer service through desk work and participation in administrative functions such as check in and check out.

Peer Mentor

The Peer Mentor is an integral position within the Department of Housing and Residence Education.  The primary responsibilities of the PM are to:

  • . Provide academic support services to residents of the Leader Scholar Program in Trusler Hall, the Engineering Community in East Hall, and the ROTC Living Learning Community in Tolbert Hall,
  • Serve five (5) office hours per week,
  • Actively provide the programming and community development efforts for residents, and
  • Serve as an academic, social and organizational resource and role model.

Desk Assistant

Job Description

The Desk Assistant is an integral position within the Department of Housing and Residence Education.  The primary responsibilities of the DA are to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests of the university,
  • Manage administrative functions of a residential area such as lock outs, package retrieval and equipment check out and
  • Manage communication between residents and on call residential staff.

Job Description
