Learn, Lead, Live in an international community

Location: Weaver Hall

The International House at Weaver Hall is a multicultural learning community in a residential setting which houses a small portion of international students from UF exchange programs around the world. International exchange students are paired with American roommates to share cultural experiences and practice language skills.

In addition to enhancing interactions and multicultural experiences between international and US students, the International House program strives to create an environment where informal interactions between residents, staff, and faculty are encouraged. The goal is to bring learning to a more personal level and to reach beyond the scope of what is offered in the classroom.

Live and learn with international exchange students from around the world and American students interested in studying abroad and learning about other cultures. Enjoy opportunities to increase an understanding of cultural values, differences, and similarities in diverse societies. Open to any US student. International Exchange Students should complete and submit an interest form to the UF International Center.

How to Join:

International Exchange students should complete and return the Student Housing Interest Form by the deadline noted below, to the UFIC. UFIC staff select international students to live in the International House at Weaver Hall and will place students either in single or double rooms (typically the oldest students are placed in single rooms). Once selected by the UFIC, Housing application and contract materials will be sent to participating students by the UFIC. A $25 nonrefundable application processing fee and $200 advance rent payment will be due by the deadline noted below.

Payment must be made via check or money order payable to University of Florida in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. The housing contract is a legal contract. Students attending the University of Florida will not be able to cancel the housing contract once it is signed and returned.
