Responsibilities
- Create and implement community programs for residents that align with the Residential Curriculum expectations and unique community needs
- Supervise Resident Assistants providing support and guidance for daily activities as well as professional growth and development
- Develop and execute training programs for student staff aimed at enhancing the student employment experience through a focus on lifelong learning and the creation of positive outcomes
- Serve as a hearing officer to adjudicate conduct cases focusing on student development, education, and accountability
- Advise an Area Government or Council that focuses on enhancing the residential student experience with community programming
- Advise student leaders of the Area Government or Council providing guidance on budget management, overall engagement, and development of leadership skills
- Foster a culture of continuous care by serving in an on-call role and supporting our students through effective emergency management procedures
- Create a residential environment that cultivates a sense of community and belonging while encouraging residents to utilize departmental and campus resources
- Coordinate with Housing & Residence Life teams to provide safe and secure facilities for residents
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrolled as a full-time University of Florida graduate student in good standing as defined by the University or specific college at the time of employment
- Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher

- Seeking a graduate degree in Student Personnel and Higher Education
- Ability to work well within a team, with individuals, and build positive relationships
- Demonstrated ability to critically analyze situations and actively problem solve
- Demonstrated dependability, timeliness, and professionalism
- Ability to prioritize well and tackle challenges enthusiastically
- Resourceful, highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines, and completion of tasks and projects assigned.
- This position may require occasional nights and weekend hours
Additional Information & Benefits
- Must be available for 20 hours per week
- A stipend will be provided for a nine-month appointment (Fall and Spring semesters)
- Tuition waiver for 9 credits in the Fall and Spring semesters (fees not included)

- This position will be required to live in an on-campus furnished apartment
- Reserved on-campus parking space (decal must be purchased)
